Get ready for our exciting Pinewood Derby event! Here's everything you need to know:

📅 Date:

• Check-In & Overnight: Friday, January 31st, 2025, at 7:00 PM

• Race Day: Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at 9:00 AM

 

📍 Location:
Macland Community Church (3615 Macland Road, Powder Springs, GA 30127)

📝 Key Details:

• Adventure Uniform at Check-In: Wear your pack shirt!

• Class A Uniforms on Race Day: Wear your belt up uniform!

• Car Check-In:

  • All cars MUST be checked in by 7:00 PM on Friday.​

  • No Saturday check-ins – plan ahead!

• Health Forms:​

  • BSA Health Forms Parts A & B are required for ALL Scouts and Adults attending. This is your entry ticket!​

🛠️ Car Prep:​

• Minimal tools available, so bring any tools you need for last-minute adjustments.​

• Car weight limit: 5 ounces.

• Once checked in, cars remain with race officials until after the event.

🛌 Overnight Info:

• Who Needs to Stay Overnight:​

  • Parents/guardians must stay overnight with Lions, Tigers, Wolves, and Bears (BSA rule).​

• What to Pack:

  • Sleeping bag, pillow, pajamas, toothbrush, and mess kit (for breakfast).​

  • Snacks and water if needed.

🍽️ Breakfast:

• Breakfast at 7:30 AM on Saturday.

⏰ Schedule:

• 7:00 AM: Wake-up call

• 7:30 AM: Breakfast

• 8:45 AM: Opening Ceremony

• 9:00 AM: Races start promptly (Den after Den)

🏆 Awards:

• All awards will be presented after the races – stick around for the fun!

🙌 Volunteers Needed:

• We need help for setup on Friday night and cleanup after the races on Saturday. Please volunteer if you can!
